The art of Acupuncture is a treatment method that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years in China & other Asian countries. It is the application of fine, thin needles in specific locations that correspond to the human body’s energy paths. These energy paths are directly related to the organs in the body.

There are documented benefits for various pains and ailments with the use of acupuncture. One article lists things such as fatigue, headache, and nausea improvement, treatment of infertility and obesity, and reduction of pain and arthritis. A recent article in Acupuncture Today (Jan 12, 2007)sites a study by Mayo Clinic that confirms improvement in fibromyalgia with acupuncture treatment. Other studies show multiple benefits with various autoimmune disorders.

In a society overflowing with habits detrimental to health, warfare against disease and obesity, and a population in pain, acupuncture is an alternative “medicine” waiting to bring relief.

If you have an unresolved health problem, consider acupuncture. Through several years acupuncture has successfully treated millions, for a variety of symptoms, conditions, diseases, and injuries.

Acupuncture is based on a complex branch of math and science. Here the true understanding is Quantum Physics. Most people do understand the basics of acupuncture through the practical principles and methods. The breakdown of the theory can be made easy. Meridians, chi, acupuncture points, blockage, and balance are some of the words most commonly used when discussing acupuncture.

Meridians are energetic channels that course through the body. There are fourteen Meridians. Their pathways include the head, arms, hands, torso, legs, feet, and internal organs. Chi is the vital energy that flows through these meridians. Its unimpeded flow is crucial to your health. Chi is the most important factor due to any blockage or derangement of the flow can result in ill health or pain. The acupuncture points that are spoken of are arranged on the meridians or in between them. All acupuncture points have functions and contraindications. They are chosen on an individual basis depending on the patient's symptoms.
